Thoughts Buried Beneath my Pillow

Image of hands touching, with purple-light rayogram filter applied

Couldn’t tell my body wasn’t ready

Didn’t ask if I was okay

Only wanted to consume me as quickly as he unwrapped that red packet condom

My silence entangled within the darkness as he stuck his fingers inside me

The flower of my innocence ripped open

 It wasn’t love making

And it wasn’t fucking

It was something emptier than that

The evidence stained on my left sleeve
